The custom sportbike scene first gained momentum around 2005–2006.
Back then, wide-tire kits — 240, 300, and even 330 widths — were all the rage.

Magazines like Super Streetbike focused heavily on this niche, and bikes such as the Suzuki Hayabusa and Kawasaki ZX-14 became icons.
In Florida, the scene exploded, and everyone wanted a wide-tire conversion.
